Fourth Week of December!

Tis the last day of 2013 and it has been super memorable this year! I am really thankful for all moments!

Giving Thanks
-I only worked one day last week which was pretty sweet!!!! Ate at GUPPYS with tony kat aaron pam and jose :)
-Christmas Eve i was able to relax, finish last minute wrapping, and spend the evening at Jose's house with his fam!

-Christmas was too fun! Our tradition is to open gifts by the tree and watching one another react to their special presents from one another! We watched the laker game ate great food!

-Thursday jose finally had me watch lord of the rings! the first movie only... haha. and i have to say that i like it! then he surprised me with a sweet boat ride around newport to look at christmas lights!

-I finally watched FROZEN! such great music, casting, story, humor! Had lunch with my bud Austin who i rarely get to see but is such a great brother to me!

Later there was a fun get together with loved ones! We ate (my homemade chili hehe among other yummy foods) and played games! That was such a fun time!

-We had family over for dinner and games the next day! I love them, they are always so fun and kind to us!

Church was helpful- knowing even more the importance, reality, and beauty of God comforting Joseph of Christ's birth!
We hit up Wang Chos for dinner as a family before the grandparents left the next day!! Weeee
-Today shall be spent with sweet friends :) All glory be to Christ!

Third Weed of December!

Christmas has approached so quickly!!!! It has been difficult to keep up this blog. Here we go! This past week was a bit tough for me which had prompted me to write my last post about God being good in my trials. I have seen a lot of true forgiveness and grace lately which has softened my heart and helped me deal with things.

Giving Thanks
-I have been able to spend some time with my visiting grandparents which is always awesome because i love them!! weve gone out to lunch, hung out at home, talked, preparing for these holidays with eating, wrapping gifts, and laughter!
-going to mission inn with jose rachel and nieman :) pretty place with encouragement in the faith!

-seeing fiona at starbucks. i love that girl, listening to her and getting to know her
-OMG SAVING MR BANKS WITH MY SISTER. we love love mary poppins with my family and we had been looking forward to this. and it didnt let down!

-My family went to Chino to look at the houses be lit up over there! verrrry nice!

-We also got to spend time together at Sea World and a hotel :) Gotta love fam time!

-Caroling around diamond bar! We do this every year with Sammies neighbors and its always a blast to sing and eat!

-Every day this December, one coworker would bring a holiday treat to the office for us all! Here are some of the yummy foods we snacked on throughout our work day :)

God is good in my trials

For the last four months, I think I've been going through a handful of trials that challenge my heart, my trust in God and how I am able to glorify Him in these situations. I haven't written my thoughts because I tend to over think, bottle it inside, and have a fear of man issue. But here they are now.

Issues.

Oh I've had a good amount of issues that have ached my heart! I do understand everyone have problems.  Good friends have stopped speaking with me for reasons I don't understand or have control of. Health of family continues to worsen and I feel helpless. Arguments with my guy for three weeks back in October or so and it brought out a lot of selfishness and bitterness on my end. Seeing people I care about in my church and life hurting and broken. Carrying burdens for those I love.  Lacking in rest and caught up in busyness. Feeling burnt out. Job stress. Dealing with bad emotions such as anger and self righteousness. Tough conversations about living a life for Christ. Deaths...

I've learned these things 

1. I must trust Gods goodness, surpassing peace, and His complete and absolute sovereignty. Rely on the Holy Spirit

2. Pray in all circumstances, rejoice in all things, persevere in the faith and gospel, read bible

3. Repeat your identity and gods word to yourself. Example, you are a slave to do gods will from my heart, His righteousness, daughter of a Loving father, indwelled by the Holy Spirit.. Etc! Philippians is an encouraging book.
4. See I am broken, messed up, wicked and deep need for Jesus Christ, the Savior, Redeemer, who does all things for my good and sustains all things.
5. LOVE OTHERS. SERVE OTHERS. LISTEN. SPEAK HELPFUL TRUTH. LEARN FORGIVENESS. BE COMPASSIONATE. STRIVE FOR PEACE AND UNITY AND FOR GOD TO GET THE GLORY.

If you speak with me, help me in these areas where I lack and put too much pressure on myself. please prayor me too! Thank you for reading about my transparency. God is good. 

Second Week of December!

Mama was sick this past week so a lot of my time was helping to prepare the gifts for the company party yesterday while watching all three episodes of sing off last week!

Giving Thanks:
-jchen was home to come with me to pilates!!! amazing work outs!!
-went out to eat sushi with beautiful praise who has been an amazing sister to me!
-friday- i was sooooo excited to go to the shane and shane concert with pamela, aaron and jose! IT WAS AMAZING. great singing christmas songs and praise songs to the Lord! we loveee their voices :) after we went to rancho to see christmas lights!!! they were amazing and ive never seen anything like it! wooooo! sooo pretty!

-saturday i spent with my grandparents at home, reading the third book of hunger games :) i already feel myself gaining weight from my popos cooking! my poor ma was bed ridden but we surprised her with pentatonix concert tix!
-sunday was my pops company luncheon! love seeing the people he works with and have trained him. we ate bomb food and had our characatures done!

-later i took some friends to our night service in LA and i was encouraged by them being blessed and the preaching of christ being exiled for us!!! omg i was jaw dropping and wowing! the theme of the old testament of redemption, israelite covenant, land, king to the new testament of redemption, new covenant, the new heavens and earth, and king jesus was crazy! :) BLESSED!!!! we hung out with LA folks after eating and playing games

-work has been just wonderful- weve decorated our desks, been eating well, ive been stressed because im fairly new to handling all the ruckus but was recently praised for doing well:p PHEW.

What is my Job?

Soooo i thought I would write about what I actually do for my 7am-4pm job! I think a lot of my friends and fam do not have a good idea, so I thought I would make it clearer!

I am a project coordinator for AEHI (Eagle High International). I am in the aerospace industry. My company is a broker, reseller, distributor of sorts. We arrange transactions between a buyer and seller for a commission! This is my first salary paid job! I feel so grown up!

A typical day for me is BUSY and time goes by soooo quickly! I am constantly communicating with others via email, phone, or in person. I walk in to work and immediately check my email full of new requests for airplane materials (metals, chemicals, parts, hardware), issues of current projects I am working on, and responses from vendors and customers. I facilitate requests for airplane parts and speak with possible manufacturers or distributors, quote our customer, then if they agree, we are given a contract, then purchase it from the vendor, then have it sent to us, and we send it through a freight forwarder to our customer! There is paperwork for everything and a paper trail to keep everything organized and legitimate! CRAZY!

I am really thankful for my coworkers who have really welcomed me and on a daily help me out. We help one another! We all have our strong points (I am learning my own as I grow in the company) and we are able to lend a hand whenever there is an issue. My managers are great and knowledgeable. They are helpful, kind, and generous!

It is so crazy I have a business job. It makes me feel all adult-y! It truly blown my mind I was able to use my degree in business to find this place and learn so much! I hope you were able to get a better idea of what I do!

First Week of December!

Giving Thanks
-Actually I will take it back to Thanksgiving! My pa fried up a delicious turkey and made too much food! But we scarfed down what we could! Jose came over then we went to Jesscas house (a tradition for at least 7 years now!) for more food and games with her fam and friends!

-Friday we woke early for shopping time with my ma and sis. I lasted only three hours!Im not much of a shopper, but Im thankful during this time to buy for my fam!!!!
-Saturday we picked up our trees!!! At night i went to support my church fam at the danika benefit concert.
-Sunday I was blessed by Dannys preaching on gods mercy when sin consumes our identity and to give thanks and glory to God. Jose taught on church history and i looove learning that! Then marika and sammie helped me create wonderful things for my desk at work at night! we crafted away and my best friends are great!!

-Throughout the week its been sooo fun decorating up my desk area and seeing what my coworkers are doing!!! It has given us reasons to smile and help one another.
-Tuesday I had lunch with marika!!!

After work i went to LA to babysit the Tibayan kiddies!!!! We ate, watched a movie, and played a bit :) Jose and I were able to have great convos with them afterwards!

-Wednesday I ate with my cousin Justin and he came home with me to talk with my parents! Loved catching up!!!

-Thursday jose and i hit disneyland and ca up for christmas time!! :D we love that place!

-Friday I read revelation 2 with kat and pam, then celebrated dannys bday at coconut bay!!!!

-Today I went to Lucilles with the city group gang and we planned our next party and played games :) Helped my fam wrap a bajillion cookie boxes so i can make goodie bags :D

Giving Thanks 2013

Oh how many things I have been able to experience, and how many beautiful people I have been able to meet and get closer to! It has been a great year and journey to reflect on.

My family- We have continued to grow close to one another. Being together on weekends, watching television, laughing, travelling, eating out, sharing our stories and understanding each other better has been great! I appreciate more and more the love my parents have for me, and the sacrificial love they have to have for one another to make their marriage and this family stay strong. I am thankful for moments where we try to have quality time together- that means a lot. Having strong father and mother influences in my life, i see the importance of both- the gentleness, the care, the provision, the listening ears, the physical presence, the conversations, the working hands, the strong presence. I see it and feel the impact on me and this family. I am truly thankful.

Friends-Oh gosh its seriously God's great blessing to me that He has kept together so many of my friendships and still creates new ones in my life. I love that there is a a sense with me that no matter how long it has been, or how frequently we are able to meet, there are friendships that fill me with joy, laughter, sadness, frustration, encouragement and memories. It has been a great pleasure of mine to continue to love my friends, serve their needs, and get help from them in times when I am weary! THANKFUL!

Church- This year I have been able to see the gospel in my church family. It was this time last year when I heard my first sermon at Crossview, and I knew the gospel was working in these people. I am thankful for members who constantly love me, meet with me, serve me, and allow me to do the same for them for the sake of Jesus and the spread of the gospel through LA and Diamond Bar. God is faithful to this church.

Jesus Christ- Oh my sweet Savior... God humbled himself and came to earth as fully man and fully God to die for my wicked and selfish wayward soul. And although I continue to struggle with my troubling heart, He keeps and the Holy Spirit helps me persevere for the sake of His glory and Name. I am thankful God has chosen me from the beginning for salvation through sanctification and has called me through his gospel to obtain the glory of Christ

Third & Fourth Week of November!

Giving Thanks
-For my first and hopefully not last hang out with Rachel!!! We have been meaning to get together, and birch was perfect for us to get to know each other :)

-After 6 months, reuniting with Irene like no time has passed, and catching up over some hot ramen!

-Lots of Pilates and working out at home. Some great family time and reading hunger games! I have finished the second book!!!!
-For hanging out and reading the first chapter of the book of revelation with Kat and Pamela! Oh huh how amazing that chapter was for my soul and to worship The Lord!
-Finishing reading 1, 2, 3 John with my coworker Sarah!
! -Going to the Christmas tree farm with my fam and picking out our two trees!!!!

-Having a thanksgiving celebration with new and old friends, eating, talking, and playing games!

-Listening to Jose and pj teach about church history and being super super super blessed by 2 thess 3!!! How to stand firm in the gospel.
-Phone catch up converstions with Allie, Shelley and Sammie :) sooo good to have great gfs!
-Alone time to read, paint nails, and pilates to de-stress from all the busy-ness at work
-Watching hunger games with my dear and LOVING IT!!!
-Having dinner with my city group, playing games and sharing life :)yum home made food and great talks!

Prayer Requests
-That I am not overwhelmed at work, being self relying, a worry wort, and unable to find joy in it!
-That god saves my family from sin and death! That he protects and keeps us :)

Second Week of November!

I hardly took any pictures last week but it was a week of God's goodness for my undeserving self! Giving Thanks
-hanging out with my gparents and trying on my bridesmaids dress with marika for sammies wedding! weeee soo exciting. -Dinner with praise and jason :) we killed our food at soup plantation, shared life, and played monopoly deal- and i finally won!!!!! wow! hahah
-My pilates class!! I really love it!!! Speaking with danny and sharing life
-After work, I was REALLY BLESSED by the LA city group! We read the bible together, talked, and how to apply it in times of unbelief. I loved getting to know that group better and spending time with them!
-relaxing, and seeing my family again at a funeral. it was a sad occasion but we love another!
-Listening to Jose and PJ teach about church history and understanding better the path of the church. After listening to PJ preach about 2 Thess 2:13-17 I was encouraged in my identity in Christ and how I need to stand firm in the traditions because I have been chosen by the Father. Jose and I visited Americana but only stayed a bit. We grabbed some yummy louies chicken and later watched Captain Philips with Danny and Fiona- which i loved!!!!

I have been reading the hunger games! I am obsessed! haha just kidding, but really, it is a great book!!! im on catching fire now :) the story line and details are fantastic and the author paints a great picture!

please pray for my heart to be gentle, full of the spirit, discerning of the Lord at all times

First Week of November!

Going into winter means I gotta get sick! Let us hope it is only this one time! haha Luckily I didnt get my office sick :)

Giving Thanks:
-I was able to hang out with the wonderful Tori

-Seeing my brother Danny give his testimony at AACF UCLA and blessing others

-Hanging out with Jose and watching a Laker game winner and THOR!!!!!
-Going through scripture with my mission team that point to discipleship
-Having a thanksgiving dinner feast with my family while my grandparents are here! They got to meet Jose! :)

-Being blessed by the preaching of Gods word and being with church family today!
-Treating my family to wang chos tonight :)

Prayer Requests
-That God heals my body and grandpa and grandma from illnesses
-That God saves my family!!

Oh How Time Flies During Holiday Season

It always seems when it hits october, that time is increasingly speeding up!

Giving Thanks
-Eating with the wonderful girl Faye :) it was such a blessing to know her better and hear what God is doing in her life!
-LAKERS won their first game of the season which was awesome to watch!!!! i loved the game :)
-Eating and reading with Ruby, Kat, and Pam!!!! It was wonderful to talk about our lives, edify one another, and read the Bible!

-Thursday was Halloween!!!! It was busy busy for Bowcreek again with 467 kids! sheesh! loved giving candy out with my fam and jose! my dad carved mike from monsters inc! it was awesome! then jose and i headed to the zeemans to eat more food and hang out a bit!

-I was finally able to have a date night with Jose!!! We went to CPK!!! Later we met up with Tony Kat and Danny at Guppys and we talked and played monopoly deal! Oh what fun!

-I was able to rest well and clean my room well! There was a ladies night at night and we ate, talked, and played games! i loved laughing with them and having good times!

-Today was challenging for me in scripture. We read 2 thes 2:1-12 and it was talking about the end times. i was challenged that if i do not LOVE the truth and all of the bible and the god behind the truth then i could be easily deceived and swayed in the end times. i need to know my scripture, worship the Lord, and be prepared! i was glad to watch the kiddies in the morning and spend time playing with them

Prayer Requests
-Please pray for me to relinquish my control of all situations and people. God is in control and I fail to remember that daily
-Pray for my family to be saved by believing in the gospel
-Pray for for my heart to have peace and joy in the Word
-Pray that I am an ambassador of Christ this week in my hangouts, fam time, and work!

Third & Fourth Week of October!

AH LOTS AND LOTS HAVE HAPPENED! i havent been able to blog for two weeks! Giving Thanks: -Family time painting the guest room!

-Reuniting with Lizette! :) we made cheesecake strawberries and drank wine!

-Celebrating Jose's little sisters birthday at Coconut Bay!!!!

-Getting back at pilates and loving how its helping me physically! -Seeing my YWAM Las Vegas group again in San Diego.. and sharing how God is working in our lives!

-Being revived after fainting at Dland!!! HAHA but had a wonderful time with the Pastores kids and my dearest!!!!

-Another dland trip with my sisters Sarah and Hannah! great convos and encouragement for one another!

-Doing insanity with Jose's sisters! it pushes me physically and allows me to develop relationships with them!
-Blessing the Bratchers by babysitting their four girls and knowing how to pray for them

-Being Reunited with Sarah and Shawn over some boba and catching up!

-Being surprised by getting promoted to project manager on friday!
-Reading 1 John 3 with my coworker Sarah! Then learning the meaning of "king, priest, prophet" with the mission team! -Being encouraged by Kat!!!!!

-Helping out sammie create the give away gifts for the guests for her wedding!
-Celebrating Tony's birthday!!! playing games and eating wings!
-Hearing God's word in the gathering today from 2 Thes 1:11-12 and witnessing Sabrinas baptism!

Prayer Requests: -To not rely on myself for salvations, and trust in the Lord -For my family to believe in the gospel -For more patience, and to not be quick to anger -To rely on the Holy Spirit
