Good Deeds
While we were not saved by good works, we were designed for good works. It is the redeemed hearts response of gratitude for the gift of God's grace!!! We should respond a work for him. We labor for anyone in need in our local church. I want to adorn myself with good deeds. I want to desire to use my resources until it costs me something! Good deeds are for the church, our sanctification, and God's glory! Care for God's family first and never neglect others outside the faith. Doing things apart from the motivation of a heart charged by the Gospel invariably brings slander to God's name. It is encouraging to know that God gives, empowers, teaches, speaks truth to help us do good deeds!
Witness
Let one of my biggest joys in this world be to personally witness daily to others! Because my eyes were open and I am alive and not spiritually dead, I need to tell anyone and everyone about the life, death, and resurrection of Christ! Allow me humbly to be distinguished and drawn to my Savior. I desire a selfless heart. May this grow me to be more hospitable to build relationships that God wants us to influence for Christ. These people is an eternal soul of immense value. I can definitely invest my time and treasure in these friendships by inviting, doing things together, sharing special days, taking classes, volunteering, and opening up my home!
Giving
Praise the Lord that we are able to give because everything are good gifts from Him. May I trust the Lord that by giving my best to Him, that He would bring in the rest. May my heart be overflowing in grace giving, a joyous heart with a willingness to find opportunities to give MORE and regularly. My riches should be my treasure in heaven- that the invisible is more important than the visible. Jesus emptied Himself on the cross. I need accountability to make sure that though I know this pleases God, that I am not doing this for gaining favor with God. I desire this to be another way to worship.
